Al Idaa Al Amazighia is a national radio broadcasting general news programs and content in three Amazigh dialects. It is reaching 4,93% of the audience nationwide.
It was created in 2004 with the aim of promoting the Amazigh culture, at a time where the debate around the recognition of these culture and language was at its peak in Morocco. It is directed towards the Amazigh population of the country, trying to fill a niche market and demands of full recognition of the languages’ importance.
It is owned by the Société Nationale de Radiodiffusion et de Télévision (SNRT) under the direction of Mohamed Ayad.
